Mo Ghile Mear

A traditional Irish song, the title can be literally translated as “My Gallant Darling”. It is a lament for the failed Jacobite uprising of 1745 and the exile of Bonnie Prince Charlie after the disastrous defeat at Culloden. This TAB is based on the recording by Sting with The Chieftains on their album, “The Long Black Veil” which was released in 1995.
