Originally an Irish and British folk song, it is perhaps best known today in its American version with slightly different lyrics which has been released by artists like Joan Baez and Bob Dylan. This TAB is based on the Irish version sung by Mark Knopfler with The Chieftains on their album, “The Long Black Veil”.
