This Christian hymn, second only to “Amazing Grace” in popularity, was written originally in Swedish by Carl Boberg in 1885. It has been translated in German, Russian and English. The song is a bit of a challenge to play because the chorus contains the note G# five times. This note is available in only one place on the neck of the Merlin at fret 6 on the middle string (A). I have used Chris Rice as a model for the tab, but please listen to Carrie Underwood sing the hymn. It’s wonderful.
