Ah! Si Mon Moine Voulait Danser

A folk song believed to have been sung in France before the 17th century. It is highly popular and well-known in Quebec. The title is a pun. “Moine” means both “monk” and “spinning top”. The monk is promised all sorts of gifts if only he will dance; a hood, a rosary, a belt and “many more things” (which is slightly naughty).
