Neil Diamond wrote this song with Robbie Robertson of “The Band” and he sang it live at The Band’s farewell concert, “The Last Waltz” in 1976. Robertson played guitar on this track. The song was inspired by how many people felt after the assassination of Martin Luther King. Since it goes quite high in the second half, this is an abridged version.
