Written for the 1967 musical “Hair”, this song became very popular and a sort of unofficial anthem of the “Flower Generation” . Fifth Dimension recorded a medley of “Aquarius” and “Let The Sun Shine In” which spent six weeks as No.1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in 1969.
