Superstar

Written in 1969 by Bonnie Bramlett and Leon Russell, the best known version of this song was released by The Carpenters in 1971. Rita Coolidge originally came up with the idea for this song based on observing the relationships of female groupies with rock stars in the 1960’s. Because the song starts with a G# which is available in only one place on the strumstick fret board, I have tabbed this song on the middle (A) string.
