This is a round of three parts with a repeated Latin phrase meaning “Grant Us Peace” as its only lyrics. A round is a song in which several voices sing exactly the same melody but start at different times the whole blending harmoniously. It has been passed orally and is of uncertain origin although it is sometimes attributed, without much evidence, to Mozart. It likely had its origins in folk music probably from the 16th ot 17th century.
