A 1976 hit song by Canadian singer/songwriter, Gordon Lightfoot, to commemorate the sinking of the bulk carrier S.S. Edmund Fitzgerald on Lake Superior in 1975. Her entire crew of 29 men were lost. The Edmund Fitzgerald was, and remains, the largest ship ever to sail the Great Lakes.
